The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Belgium in partnership with IIA Belgium have the pleasure to invite their members and associates for 5 events during the Fraud Awareness week 2024. This year a combination of virtual and live events is offered.
You can register for each session individually by selecting the appropriate tickets. For the virtual events, a link to the on-line event will be sent to the participants before each session.

Abstract
Finance functions face several significant opportunities and challenges to remain relevant in the next decade in a world where fraud and misinformation are rising. This session will explore the connection between the shifts that the functions need to make and the challenges of trusted information in a pre-emptive world from a sustainable business environment.
You may also expect an overview of recent developments and expected direction of travel at EU level and the related implications for the counter-fraud professional, followed by a panel discussion and an opportunity for questions from the audience.

Jeff Wicks is a South African investigative journalist and member of News24’s investigations team. He is the co-author of Eight Days in July: Inside the Zuma unrest that set South Africa alight, published in 2021.
He is a two-time winner of the prestigious Taco Kuiper Award for Investigative Journalism, and a recipient of the Nat Nakasa award for courageous journalism in 2024.
He has worked as a journalist for 18 years in various roles for regional and national titles across the country. His current focus is on issues pertaining to crime and justice, intelligence and the underworld. He lives in Johannesburg.
