Thanks for joining IIA Belgium's New Year Reception
We would like to express our gratitude to each one of you who attended our New Year Reception last evening. Your presence not only illuminated the event but also reinforced the sense of community that we, at IIA Belgium, cherish deeply!
Celebrating the accomplishments of 2023
We were honored to have our President Isabel Derison share a comprehensive review of our achievements in 2023. Last year we prove that the collective efforts of our staff, trainers and volunteers can result in great achievements! We successfully hosted our annual Conference with over 150 participants, we enhanced the sense of community and the collaborative spirit by organizing networking public events, we delivered on-line and in person trainings supporting your skill development, we launched a new Podcast series, we simplified drastically our processes and improved our online presence with a brand-new website.
Moreover, we strategically enhanced our online communication with our members by using all the available digital channels and platforms (dedicated emails, newsletters, social media). All these initiatives are focused on enhancing the membership experience and providing you with value added services.
Anticipating for new projects and initiatives
Furthermore, the insights provided by our CEO Cédric Hamaekers on the exciting projects and initiatives for 2024 left us all inspired and eager for what lies ahead. We have already launched our new Training Catalog with 15 new training courses and 10 brand new IT audit courses for non-IT-auditors. The 10 half-day trainings can be followed separately or you can consider it a mini-masterclass in IT Audit.
In addition, we are delivering a revamped version of our classic Master Class Internal Auditors Essentials which will start on February 23rd. We will co-organize this year’s Audit Software Watch Day together with ISACA on May 28. Which is a free event for all ISACA and IIA Belgium Members. New episodes of our podcast series are set to be published this year with a mini-series on the new IPPF.
And last but not least, we have board elections coming up. The current board will end in 2024, so we are looking for new board members. More details about the procedures will follow soon.
KPMG becomes our new platinum partner
Finally, a highlight of the evening was the announcement of our new platinum partner, KPMG! An Vanderhulst and Olivier Elst from KPMG took the floor and amazed us with their presentation, outlining the synergies between KPMG and IIA Belgium. It is with great optimism that we look forward to this partnership bringing great achievements in 2024!
